About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction / Testing Lead to support delivery within the ETCS Sector 1 North Project.

Role Overview

The Construction / Testing Lead is responsible for coordinating construction and testing activities across ETCS and DRS systems, ensuring readiness for system level testing and commissioning aligned with program requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Coordinate delivery partner and contractor activities during field installation and pre-testing works.

  • Ensure construction staging aligns with access/possession programs and testing & commissioning sequencing.

  • Support development and execution of work method statements, test procedures, and site readiness checks.

  • Coordinate site resources, tools, materials, and test equipment to ensure readiness.

  • Capture, track, and support resolution of defects across engineering, vendors, and contractors.

  • Provide regular progress updates, including risks and site issues to project leadership.

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure adherence to Queensland Rail and TMR requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

You will report to the Package Director, Trackside Solution.

You will interface with Project Managers, ETCS engineers, contractors, Queensland Rail, key stakeholders and delivery partners.

To ensure consistency across TMR's rail delivery and major projects portfolio, the role will be required to assist, provide advice and collaborate with The Wave project, B2N Project, Queensland Rail, Sequence Alliance, Cross River Rail Delivery Authority and other project teams within TMR from time-to-time.

Shared lessons learned between projects (where appropriate) will be an important element of this role – ensuring a consistent approach to delivery across TMR's program. As a result, flexibility and a highly collaborative and respectful work style are key skills required for this role.

About You

  • 5+ years relevant demonstrated experience delivering construction or testing activities in major rail infrastructure projects

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-contractor environments within live rail constraints

  • Strong knowledge of rail construction, signalling or ETCS systems
