About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Review Lead to support delivery within the ETCS Sector 1 North Project.

Role Overview

The Design Review Lead is responsible for managing the end-to-end design review process across ETCS trackside and interface systems, ensuring alignment with configuration baselines and readiness for system level testing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Plan and run the design review calendar, aligning with the integrated technical plan and IMS milestones.

  • Manage day-to-day vendor design submissions and performance against agreed deliverables; coordinate change requests and acceptance of design packages in alignment with TMR processes.

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary reviews, ensuring clear entry/exit criteria and version control.

  • Maintain the Design Review Comment Log, allocate actions/owners, monitor close-out, and provide review status dashboards.

  • Prepare briefings and decision papers for leadership and governance forums; capture decisions and update artefacts accordingly.

  • Support test preparation by ensuring design artefacts and data sets meet test readiness needs and assurance evidence expectations.

  • Provide progress updates, action tracking and reporting for the Project Manager (Technical Planning).

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

You will report to the Project Manager (Technical Planning).

You will interface with Project Managers, ETCS engineers, Systems Integration teams, Technical Advisors, Queensland Rail, vendors, contractors, key stakeholders and delivery partners.

To ensure consistency across TMR's rail delivery and major projects portfolio, the role will be required to assist, provide advice and collaborate with The Wave project, B2N Project, Queensland Rail, Sequence Alliance, Cross River Rail Delivery Authority and other project teams within TMR from time-to-time.

Shared lessons learned between projects (where appropriate) will be an important element of this role – ensuring a consistent approach to delivery across TMR's program. As a result, flexibility and a highly collaborative and respectful work style are key skills required for this role.

About You

  • Relevant demonstrated experience coordinating design reviews on major rail or infrastructure projects

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering, configuration management and assurance processes

  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary stakeholder environments
