About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ETCS Signalling Engineer to support delivery within the ETCS Sector 1 North Project.
Role Overview
The ETCS Signalling Engineer is responsible for providing ETCS signalling engineering support across design, construction, testing and commissioning phases, ensuring alignment with configuration baselines and readiness for system level testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:
Interpret signalling and ETCS design documentation, drawings and specifications.
Support design reviews and vendor submissions ensuring compliance with requirements and standards.
Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries, ensuring traceability and closure.
Support preparation and execution of testing activities, including test procedures, data and defect management.
Maintain alignment with configuration baselines and ensure technical artefacts are current and accurate.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
Provide technical input into reporting, issue resolution and engineering coordination activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
You will report to the Project Manager / Package Director (as applicable).
You will interface with Project Managers, ETCS Systems Integration, Technical Advisors, Queensland Rail, vendors, contractors, key stakeholders and delivery partners.
To ensure consistency across TMR's rail delivery and major projects portfolio, the role will be required to assist, provide advice and collaborate with The Wave project, B2N Project, Queensland Rail, Sequence Alliance, Cross River Rail Delivery Authority and other project teams within TMR from time-to-time.
Shared lessons learned between projects (where appropriate) will be an important element of this role – ensuring a consistent approach to delivery across TMR's program. As a result, flexibility and a highly collaborative and respectful work style are key skills required for this role.
About You
5+ years relevant demonstrated experience working in signalling, ETCS or CBTC systems in support of major rail infrastructure projects
Demonstrated ability to work within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Strong technical knowledge of rail systems, signalling and ETCS
