About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ETCS Technical Integration Manager to support delivery within the ETCS Sector 1 North Project.
Role Overview
The ETCS Technical Integration Manager is responsible for the delivery of technical systems engineering activities across the S1N ETCS L2 project. This role includes development of the overall ETCS system requirements, technical solution and technical integration approach, ensuring that systems engineering processes are integrated into the project lifecycle.
The key objective of the Systems Integration team is to ensure safe deployment of ETCS L2 on schedule.
The ETCS Systems Engineer roles and responsibilities are expected to evolve as the Systems Integration activities are progressively defined.
Key Responsibilities
Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:
Development of ETCS system requirements baseline.
Development of ETCS technical standards.
Development of ETCS system architecture.
Oversight of technical interfaces.
Development of system integration strategy, including laboratory and site testing.
Development of ETCS system integration and acceptance tests
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Reports to the ETCS Systems Integration Director
The ETCS Technical Integration Manager works closely with the other ETCS System Integration teams, TMR Project Delivery team, and contractors to ensure alignment of ETCS technical systems with project objectives. Interfaces with Queensland Rail, and Sequence Alliance.
To ensure consistency across TMR's rail delivery and major projects portfolio, the role of ETCS Systems Engineer will be required to assist and collaborate with The Wave project, B2N Project, Sequence Alliance, Queensland Rail, and other project teams within TMR from time-to-time.
Shared lessons learned between projects (where appropriate) will be an important element of this role – ensuring a consistent approach to delivery across TMR's program. As a result, flexibility and a highly collaborative and respectful work style are key skills required for this role.
Role Requirements
10+ years’ experience in systems engineering preferably in ETCS signalling.
RPEQ qualification or ability to obtain.
Demonstrated experience in system requirements, design and integration.
Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to align activities with project objectives and delivery milestones.
