About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support delivery within the ETCS Sector 1 North Project.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting engineering coordination and delivery across design, construction, testing and commissioning phases, ensuring alignment with configuration baselines and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Maintain engineering registers, logs and artefacts including RFIs, defects, design changes and test data.

  • Support design reviews by preparing comments, tracking actions and ensuring close-out of design review comments.

  • Assist site works by interpreting drawings and raising technical queries where required.

  • Provide progress updates and reporting to project leadership.

  • Coordinate engineering deliverables and ensure alignment with approved configuration baselines.

  • Support issue resolution across engineering, vendors and contractors.

  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate and aligned with project requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

You will report to the Project Manager / Package Director (as applicable).

You will interface with ETCS engineers, Project Managers, Queensland Rail, vendors, contractors, key stakeholders and delivery partners.

To ensure consistency across TMR's rail delivery and major projects portfolio, the role will be required to assist, provide advice and collaborate with The Wave project, B2N Project, Queensland Rail, Sequence Alliance, Cross River Rail Delivery Authority and other project teams within TMR from time-to-time.

Shared lessons learned between projects (where appropriate) will be an important element of this role – ensuring a consistent approach to delivery across TMR's program. As a result, flexibility and a highly collaborative and respectful work style are key skills required for this role.

About You

  • Relevant demonstrated experience working in engineering teams supporting delivery of rail infrastructure projects

  • Ability to coordinate engineering activities in a multi-stakeholder environment

  • Understanding of rail systems, signalling or ETCS (desirable)
