The role is primarily located in the Project Office located at 140 Creek Street, Brisbane. The Project Support Officer may travel to site offices in the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast region as required.

  • Type: Contract – Full Time

  • Initial Contract Term: 2 years and 9 months

  • Extension Options: up to 2 years

  • Extension options may be exercised subject to TMRs discretion and performance review.

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Support Officer to support delivery within the ETCS Sector 1 North Project.

Role Overview

The Project Support Officer provides coordinated project administration, documentation, and delivery support to the Design Review Lead and the Trackside delivery team. Maintain registers, coordinate governance forums, support design review logistics, and ensure quality and consistency of project artefacts - helping maintain momentum, visibility and alignment across the S1N ETCS L2 project.

Key Responsibilities

Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Maintain and update action/decision, risk/issue, and dependency registers, ensuring traceability and up-to-date status for governance.

  • Support the Design Review Lead in running design review cycles, including scheduling, document preparation, comment collation, version control and follow-up actions.

  • Prepare and manage agendas, minutes, packs and follow-up actions for meetings and readiness reviews across various forums.

  • Provide documentation and evidence support, ensuring artefacts are correctly filed, versioned and aligned with TMR templates.

  • Assist with monthly reporting inputs including progress summaries, KPIs, risks, issues and look-ahead activities.

  • Coordinate logistics for readiness reviews, certification sessions, workshops and vendor/QR meetings.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

Reports to Design Review Lead.

Interfaces with Project Manager (Technical Planning), Project Manager (Trackside Interfaces), Project Manager (ETCS / DRS Solution), and broader Delivery team.

To ensure consistency across TMR's rail delivery and major projects portfolio, the role of Project Support Officer will be required to assist and collaborate with The Wave project, B2N Project, Queensland Rail, and other project teams within TMR from time-to-time.

Shared lessons learned between projects (where appropriate) will be an important element of this role – ensuring a consistent approach to delivery across TMR's program. As a result, flexibility and a highly collaborative and respectful work style are key skills required for this role.

Role Requirements

  • Experience providing project support within major infrastructure or rail programs.

  • Strong organisational, coordination and minute-taking skills; attention to detail and excellent document management capability.

  • Proficiency with SharePoint/Teams and MS Office; familiarity with register management.
